DALLAS, Texas (June 22, 2026) — The Henry B. Tippie National Aviation Education Center is proud to celebrate the success of the inaugural graduating class of the Dallas College Aviation Maintenance Technology (AMT) program—a milestone that represents years of collaboration to strengthen the aviation workforce in North Texas.
From the beginning, the NAEC has worked alongside Dallas College to help bring the program to life by providing guidance, educational support, and loaning Commemorative Air Force aircraft for hands-on training. Those historic aircraft have given students the opportunity to develop real-world maintenance skills while learning in an authentic aviation environment.
The program’s first class of 14 graduates completed the FAA-aligned curriculum, with many securing employment before graduation—an encouraging sign as the aviation industry continues to face a growing demand for skilled maintenance technicians.
“We’re incredibly proud to have been part of building this program from the ground up,” said Dr. Jennifer Stimpson, Director of Education at the NAEC, during the graduation ceremony. “When education, industry, and community come together, we create opportunities that benefit students while strengthening the future of aviation.”
As the educational flagship of the Commemorative Air Force, the NAEC remains committed to developing innovative workforce programs and partnerships that inspire the next generation of aviation professionals while helping meet the industry’s critical need for highly trained technicians.
