DALLAS, Texas (July 6, 2026) — The Henry B. Tippie National Aviation Education Center (NAEC) is proud to announce that it has received two exciting honors in KidsOutAndAbout.com’s 2026 Dallas readers’ survey. The NAEC was voted STEM Educator of the Year and recognized as one of the Top 20 Places to Take Kids in Dallas, celebrating its commitment to inspiring curiosity through aviation, history, and hands-on learning.

The annual KidsOutAndAbout.com survey invites families across the Dallas-Fort Worth area to vote for their favorite attractions, museums, educational organizations, and family destinations. This year’s results placed the NAEC among some of North Texas’ most beloved family attractions while recognizing the center as the area’s leading STEM education destination.

“These awards are especially meaningful because they come directly from the families, educators, and community members we serve,” said Dr. Jennifer Stimpson, Director of Education at the Henry B. Tippie National Aviation Education Center. “Our goal has always been to create experiences that spark curiosity, encourage problem-solving, and help learners of all ages see themselves in the future of aviation and STEM. We’re honored that our community values that mission.”

Since opening in 2021, the Henry B. Tippie National Aviation Education Center has welcomed thousands of students, teachers, and families through immersive museum experiences, school field trips, summer camps, educator workshops, and hands-on STEM programs. Visitors can explore the world’s largest collection of authentic World War II nose art on public display, experience historic aircraft up close, and discover how aviation history continues to inspire future innovators.

Education remains at the heart of everything the NAEC does. Programs are designed for learners of all ages—from preschool students discovering aerospace concepts for the first time to high school students exploring aviation careers, as well as educators seeking engaging ways to bring STEM and history into their classrooms. Every visit is an opportunity to connect the lessons of the past with the possibilities of the future.

These recognitions reflect the support of a community that believes in the power of education, history, and hands-on learning. The NAEC extends its sincere thanks to everyone who voted, visited, attended a program, volunteered, or shared the museum with friends and family.

The Henry B. Tippie National Aviation Education Center invites families who have not yet visited to discover why it has become one of Dallas’ favorite destinations for learning and exploration. From interactive exhibits and historic aircraft to engaging educational programs and special events throughout the year, there’s always something new to experience.

Thank you to everyone who voted for the NAEC. We look forward to welcoming even more families as we continue our mission to Honor the Past, Empower the Future.
