About the NAEC
The Henry B. Tippie National Aviation Education Center (NAEC), located at the Dallas Executive Airport, provides hands-on learning opportunities, an immersive history experience and activities for all ages. Our mission is to Honor the Past, Empower the Future. Visit us to be inspired by aviation and history while developing leadership and "21st century" job skills. No matter the career, strong skills in communication, creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and citizenship will help individuals of all ages be more successful.
Honor the Past
At the NAEC, we are committed to preserving history by sharing the stories that shaped our world with younger generations. Through our educational programs, we bring history to life, ensuring that the lessons of World War II resonate with students today. Our center is an ideal destination for school field trips, where children can explore our extensive collection of authentic World War II nose art, aircraft, exhibits, and artifacts that honor the contributions of diverse populations.
These STEM-focused field trips not only immerse students in the history of aviation but also highlight the crucial role of science, technology, engineering, and math in its development. Located conveniently near Garland, Duncanville, Grand Prairie, Irving, and other parts of the Dallas metroplex, our center offers an engaging, educational experience for all schools, from those traveling from afar to those closer to home.
Empower the Future
The NAEC is more than just a venue for science field trips; it’s a gateway to the future, inspiring young minds with the powerful stories of World War II aviation. Located conveniently in South Dallas, our center is the perfect destination for schools seeking aviation-based field trips that spark curiosity and passion in students.
Our unique World War II exhibits, including the world’s most comprehensive collection of authentic nose art, provide a unique opportunity for students to connect with history and understand the vital role aviation played in shaping the modern world. Through these immersive experiences, we aim to ignite a lifelong interest in aviation and STEM, encouraging students to explore careers in these dynamic fields. By preserving and sharing these stories, we empower the next generation to innovate and contribute to the future of aviation and technology.
The NAEC is the flagship of the American Airpower Heritage Museum (AAHM), an affiliate of the Commemorative Air Force. The Henry B. Tippie National Aviation Education Center was named in honor of Henry B. Tippie, a World War II veteran.
